The City of Ottumwa currently has two openings on the Planning and Zoning Commission and is taking applications for those interested. Citizens that are interested in serving are encouraged to apply.
Planning & Zoning Commission – Two vacancies. Members serve five-year terms. The Planning Commission reviews development plans and advises the City Council on the City’s growth and development.
Citizen participation on these boards and commissions does require a commitment of time and effort. Appointments to these Boards and Commissions are made by the Mayor and approved by the Ottumwa City Council. Any resident of Ottumwa who is interested in serving on one of the Boards or Commissions can either request an application form at the Mayor's Office, on the first floor at City Hall for go to www.ottumwa.us for an online application.
